Here is a link to thread in another forum where I replaced mine. If you go that deep into into it make sure to replace any other stuff that is aging. You dont want to have to go back in whether you do it or pay someone to do it.

I am going to replace the heater core in my 2010 JKU this weekend. It has been back flushed multiple times the blend door works great so I am down to its probably plugged with casting sand. I am certainly not going.
